The BBC: a Case Study: A New Path to Value and Consumer Empowerment

I had a great time speaking with Nick North who shared the BBC’s vision this year at The Mobile World Congress. Below is an abstract of our talk, and click above to watch the recording of our session.

Panelists discussing 'The BBC Case Study: A New Path to Value and Consumer Empowerment' at a speaking event.

Enterprises and organizations alike have a new path to value creation, the adoption and integration of a personal information management solution (PIMS). PIMS support a decentralized data strategy–think self-sovereign identity, Web 3.0, and Web 5.0 all wrapped up in one. PIMS is a general term for software and services that restructures how personal data is collected and used throughout an organization.

A PIMS can help organizations re-frame their relationship with individuals, improve transparency, build trust, streamline onboarding and customer engagement, increase regulatory compliance, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and more. For individuals, a PIMS promises to give them agency over their data, protect their privacy, increase online and offline efficiency and convenience, and achieve peace of mind. The time for PIMS is now!
