If you have not noticed, it is a mobile-digital world.
New research released from eMarketer today reports that mobile is taking the lion share of our digital attention and is quickly on path to taking over TV, the mainstay of mainstream above the line marketing for the last fifty years (I don't miss an episode of Game of Thrones and I watch every one of them on my phone).
According to eMarketer, 23.3% of major media consumption by U.S. adults happens through mobile, this is up from 3.7% in just four years, while TV has dropped from 40.9% to 36.5% in the same time period. As seen in the chart above, mobile and Other digital media are the only media consumption growth areas. Moreover, let us not forget that we're using our mobile phone and devices while watching TV, about 35% of the time, according to Millward Brown's Digital & Media Predications 2014 study, we're multi-screening.
Mobile is everywhere, at all times. Are you ready?
