GRABR, compared to a combination of Facebook and Pinterest, is a social platform that primarily consisted of gamers. It now serves as a white label platform that brands can use to establish their owned media, and ultimately an owned community in a specific niche network.
This is a very insightful interview, definitely worth watching. Much of the advertising we see today on social media platforms and TV is largely irrelevant, not to mention very expensive. Becker and Pearce dive into this idea of developing an owned media causeway.
